- 8 oz penne pasta, measured dry (here)
- 3 cups fresh broccoli florets, washed and trimmed
- 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts, cubed into bite-sized pieces
- 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
- 1 (15oz) jar alfredo sauce (here)

How to Make Chicken Broccoli Alfredo Pasta
You will need a large skillet and a large pot. The pot is to cook the pasta, everything else is prepared in the skillet. We love our Caraway nonstick, non-toxic, ceramic cookware. You can find it online here: Caraway Cookware.
First, bring a large pot of salted water to a boil on the stove. Add the pasta to the boiling water and cook for 8 minutes, until the pasta is still slightly al dente.
After 8 minutes, add the broccoli to the pasta water and cook for an additional 4 minutes.
Drain the cooked pasta and broccoli and set aside.
Creamy Alfredo Pasta with Chicken and Broccoli
Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat, drizzle with olive oil, and add the cubed chicken breast to the skillet. Cook for 5-7 minutes until the chicken is fully cooked.
Then add the minced garlic to the cooked chicken and cook for another 1-2 minutes until fragrant. If you love garlic, then add more, if you don’t then you can reduce the amount of garlic.
Next, add the luscious alfredo sauce to the skillet. You can use creamy homemade alfredo sauce if you would like, but it isn’t necessary for this recipe. Jar sauce works perfectly fine. Stir to combine and continue to heat for 2-3 minutes.
Then add the tender broccoli and cooked pasta to the skillet.
Stir the tender pasta, broccoli, and chicken to fully incorporate with the alfredo cream sauce. Continue to cook for 1-2 minutes.
Easy Chicken Broccoli Alfredo Recipe with Penne
This creamy chicken broccoli alfredo is the perfect comfort food meal and is on the dinner table in about 30 minutes making it a great option for busy weeknights.
Feel free to use leftover chicken breasts or shredded rotisserie chicken if you happen to have that on hand.
The creamy texture of the dish paired with the juicy chicken breast make this one of our favorite alfredo pasta dishes. Even a picky eater can’t resist this tasty dish.
Store leftovers in an airtight container for 3-5 days in the refrigerator.
