How to Make the Best Almond Bundt Cake Recipe
First, preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Then combine all of the dry ingredients, except for the powdered sugar in a large bowl.
Whisk the flour mixture to combine.
Next, add the eggs to a separate bowl, and add the maple syrup.
Then add the coconut oil.
Add the orange juice to the bowl. The best way to do this is to zest and use the juice from fresh fruit. Fresh will always be better than anything in a container.
Next, add your favorite almond extract to the bowl.
Then add the fresh orange zest to the bowl. The orange juice and zest add the best orange flavor to this easy almond bundt cake.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir to combine, then grab an electric mixer. We love our handheld mixer.
Mix on low speed until the cake batter is smooth.
Prepare and Bake the Best Cake
Spray the bundt pan with avocado or olive oil. If you love the design of this bundt pan you can find it online here: spiral bundt pan.
Carefully pour the batter into the prepared bundt pan. Make sure to avoid the center of the cake pan, you don’t want to lose batter in the open hole. Gently tap the pan on the table or flat surface to release any air bubbles.
Then bake for 30 minutes until golden brown and the cake passes the toothpick test.
Remove the orange almond pound cake from the oven and let the cake cool on a cooling rack for 5-10 minutes.
When the cake pan is cool enough to handle, or with oven mitts on, place a cake round, or platter on top of the cake. Then gently flip the cake over and allow it to fall from the pan onto the plate or platter.
Dust the top of the moist cake with powdered sugar.
