Coffee Jello aka Coffee Jelly Dessert Ingredients
To make this coffee dessert you only need a few ingredients that can easily be found at your local grocery or convenience stores. The main ingredient is coffee of course. You will need:
- 3 Tbsp unflavored gelatin powder
- 1/2 cup cold water
- 2 cups of strong coffee
- 1/2 Tbsp vanilla extract
- 14 oz can of sweetened condensed milk
- optional – whipped cream and dark chocolate shavings
How to Make this Coffee Jello Recipe with Condensed Milk
First, place the gelatin in a small bowl with the cold water and let it sit for about 10 minutes while the gelatin blooms.
Then place the bloomed gelatin into a medium saucepan.
Add the hot coffee to the pot. You can use real coffee (our preference), instant coffee, or even decaf coffee. Feel free to make stronger coffee than usual, and make sure to use black coffee.
Next, add the vanilla extract to the pot.
Warm the coffee mixture over medium heat and stir constantly until the gelatin is fully dissolved. Then add the condensed milk to the pot and stir until combined and smooth.
Pour the coffee and gelatin-based dessert into individual cups, or any similar individual glasses.
Cover the cups with plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator to set for 4-6 hours or overnight.

This sweet treat can be enjoyed in many different ways. You can top it with whipped cream and chocolate shavings for a delicious dessert.
Neither the coffee flavor nor the sweet cream of the condensed milk overpowers the other. There is a perfect balance of flavors which makes this a great refreshing dessert for any coffee drinker with a sweet tooth.
This gelatin dessert has a firmer texture than you would expect from a creamy coffee jello. Because of this, you can also enjoy it cut into cubes of jelly if placed in silicone molds instead of individual cups.
