Chocolate Cake Baked Donuts Ingredients
To make this chocolate donuts recipe you will need these simple ingredients. These are also gluten-free donuts so we will be using almond flour instead of all-purpose flour. You will be amazed at how you can create delicious fluffy donuts with simple and healthy ingredients. These ingredients can all be found at your local grocery store and online:

First, preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Then combine the dry ingredients in a large bowl. Add the almond flour.
Next, add the tapioca flour.
Then the coconut sugar, and the pure cacao powder. We always opt for cacao powder over unsweetened cocoa powder, but you can use either. You can get cacao powder online here: cacao powder.
Add the salt, baking soda, and vanilla bean powder. If you do not have vanilla bean powder you can use vanilla extract. In place of the 1/2 tsp of vanilla powder, you would need 1 tsp vanilla extract.
Whisk the flour mixture together and set aside.

Next, place the bananas in a separate bowl. The sweetest bananas are the ones that are a bit spotty on the peel. These are often the best for baking.
Mash the bananas using the back of a fork. Two mashed bananas are equal to between 1/2 and 3/4 cup.
Then add the eggs to the bowl.
Next, add the milk. We are using cashew milk. You can opt for almond milk or any other plant-based milk. This is our favorite cashew milk because it doesn’t have any extra additives or ingredients. It is made with simply two ingredients: cashew milk.
Then add the coconut oil to the bowl. When it comes to baking we almost always opt for coconut oil over vegetable oil because coconut oil tends to be the healthier option. Some may notice a subtle hint of coconut flavor in their foods while others don’t notice it at all. This comes down to personal preferences.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir to combine, then grab an electric mixer. We love our handheld mixer.
Mix on low speed until the donut batter is smooth.
Baking Fluffy Chocolate Donuts
Transfer the donut batter to a medium bowl with a pour spout or use a piping bag. You want to use whichever method will make it easier for you to fill the donut pan evenly with the least amount of mess.
Next, spray a doughnut pan with olive oil cooking spray or grease the pan with coconut oil.
Carefully, fill the greased donut pan with the batter. Do your best to avoid getting batter in or on the donut holes parts of the pan.
Place the donut pans in the oven and bake for 10-12 minutes until cooked through and pass the toothpick test.
Remove from the oven and leave the donuts in the pan on a cooling rack to cool before removing them from the pans. Wait 5-10 minutes before removing the chocolate baked donuts from the pans. If you attempt to remove them too soon, the donuts may stick to the pan and not fall out whole.
Once cool enough to touch, flip the pan upside down to release the donuts, and then set them on a wire rack to cool a bit more. You may need to bang the pan on a flat surface to loosen them but do not force it.
Baked Chocolate Doughnuts for the Chocolate Lover
This is our favorite recipe to satisfy chocolate cravings.
You can top your fresh doughnuts however you’d like. You can double the chocolate flavor with an added rich chocolate glaze, chocolate ganache, or chocolate sprinkles. Or keep things simple. For this particular recipe, we like to keep it simple and dust the top with a little powdered sugar.
These deliciously moist baked chocolate cake donuts are a perfect pair with your morning coffee or tea.
Or enjoy them after dinner for a sweet treat. However, a true donut lover never really needs a reason to have a homemade donut.
