To make this authentic chimichurri recipe you will need a few fresh ingredients. This is all you will need:
- salmuera – 1/2 cup water & 1/2 Tbsp salt
- 1/2 head of fresh garlic (appx 6 cloves of garlic), minced
- 1/2 cup fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/2 cup fresh oregano, chopped
- 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
- 1/8 cup red wine vinegar
- 1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil

First, make the salmuera. Boil the water in a small saucepan, add the salt, and heat until the salt dissolves. Then remove from the heat and set aside to cool to room temperature.
Next, mince the garlic cloves using a garlic press. We like this one: garlic press. Place the minced garlic in a small bowl.
Then add the chopped fresh flat-leaf parsley to the bowl.
Add the chopped oregano to the bowl.
Next, add the crushed red pepper flakes.
Then add the red wine vinegar to the bowl.
Add the olive oil, followed by the salmuera.
Whisk the ingredients of this delicious chimichurri recipe together until thoroughly combined.
